We meet fortnightly at St Albans Church Hall from 2pm-3pm.

This group is for complete beginners or those who have not danced for a long time.

This group started in the summer as a traditional ballroom dance group, however, we had a distinct lack of ‘partners’. To try to remedy this, I have introduced a ‘No partner needed’ which simply put, solo dancing section called ‘Latin in Line’, not to be confused with Western Line Dancing, which it definitely isn’t!

‘Latin in Line’ was developed by 2 dance teachers who found they had a lot of members in their classes who had no partner.

It incorporates actual Latin Dance steps in a short sequence.

Dances include Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble, Mambo etc. Some of the sequences can be developed into partner dances, however dancing ’in line’ does mean that you and a partner can dance without treading on each other’s toes and ending up a bit worse for wear!

It’s excellent exercise, but no need for leotards! Its also proving very popular in the advanced class.

Try it……. its fun, it keeps you fit and its an hour every two weeks where you can just enjoy yourself.

Please telephone Terry on 01604 402880 if you are interested or would like more information.
