The Northampton u3a has a ten-pin bowling group, and we meet on the second Thursday of each month (except August, when we do not play because of school holidays and April, when we play on the 1st Thursday again because of school holidays) at 1.45pm and everybody is invited.

YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD TO BOWL….THAT’S TEN PIN BOWLING WITH NORTHAMPTON U3A AT SIXFIELDS…..IT’S GOOD COMPANY, GOOD FUN AND A GOOD GAME.

Because we’ve joined as a club, the cost currently is £7.50 (June 2025) for two games (all in), which is terrific value compared to normal rates and if you fancy a drink whilst playing, there is a bar but that costs extra.

Put your mind at rest if you are unsure about your abilities, this game is for everybody….you can even `close the gutters`, so every ball will nearly always knock down some pins. What other activity can promise near 100% success, not be impacted by the weather, and generates a fantastic opportunity to have a chat, improve your health through activity and allow you a bit of friendly competition.

Dates for 2026, all Thursdays and the second in the month, except April which is a week later due to Easter School holidays and December a week earlier .
