The idea is to look at the seasonal delights of nature. We meet at agreed locations both in Northampton and surrounding country parks to walk around ending up in a cosy café. We enjoy sharing an interest in the environment and sharing our combined knowledge whilst having a laugh or two.

Future meetings

Tuesday 14th April 2025 Everdon Stubbs

We are going to visit Everdon Stubbs to view the bluebells. Stubbs Road, Everdon, Daventry NN11 3BN. 9.45 for 10am start.

The Everdon to Farthingstowe road divides the wood in two. If travelling from Everdon(to the north), the car park can be accessed on the left hand side before the cross roads to The Stowes.

A small off road car park has space for 6-8 vehicles. From here you can access both sides of the wood on foot through entrances with bollards/squeeze gaps in place.

There are no toilets on site or cafe and the woodland site may be muddy.

12th May 2026 - Summer Leys Nature Reserve

An old gravel pit transformed into an internationally important haven for breeding and wading birds. If you are a member of the Wildlife Trust parking is free or we can carshare.
