Northampton u3a is celebrating 40 years of Living, Life, Well in 2026
Celebrating in 2026 40 years full of friendship, learning and living life well, we plan to showcase ‘What We Do’ throughout the year, in addition to our popular seasonal social events and quizzes.
In June our popular ‘Picnic in the Park’, will be a real 40th party around Abington Park’s bandstand, with all our members enjoying musical entertainment and a picnic together.
We are holding a Murder Mystery Gala dinner in August, a great opportunity to dress up if you wish Gatsby style and enjoy being part of the action!
On 29th September we are holding a Showcase event with group displays and activities in the historic Northampton Guildhall great hall and nearby Courtroom.
Tuesday 30th June 2026 'Picnic in Abington Park'
Join us for an afternoon of music from the bandstand and friendship in Abington Park. From 1.30pm we will be entertained by our Ukulele group followed by the Jaz group. There will be a display of paintings and works by the Art Group to view in the marquee. Bring your picnic to share with friends and a light chair to sit in. Friends and family are welcome. We are hoping Northampton Mayor Cllr Mike Hallam will be able to join us during the afternoon.
