We meet on the first Tuesday of each month - binoculars essential, walking boots recommended for most venues. Local venues are mostly the gravel pits along the Nene valley with Summer Leys being a favourite but also include Pitsford reservoir.

Previously we have visited Grafham water, Attenborough & RSPB Frampton near Boston, Lincs to see the numerous waders plus Stockgrove/Rushmere near Leighton Buzzard for woodland birds and Pegsdon chalk hills for different birds and flowers.

We do not have a set programme, but plan at each meeting where we should visit next.

The group meets, ready to walk, at the venue at 9.30 am or 10.00 if there’s further to travel. When allowed, the sharing of lifts is encouraged.
